I'm looking for a gas pipe plumber for projects at my home. The house already has gas connection to the HVAC and water heater in the basemend and fireplace in family room above. We also want to run additional lines to the kitchen range (above) and dryer also in the basement. Each pipe will be about 15 feet long. the basement is unfinished, so all pipes are exposed. Please provide your estimate how much it will cost. Thanks!

A garbage disposal typically has a life span of at least a decade. There may be occasional minor problems with your unit, and in the case of major garbage disposal repairs, garbage disposal replacement is often the better option. When it comes to installing a garbage disposal, the procedure itself is fairly straight forward, but does require extensive plumbing, as well as electrical abilities. First, you have to remove the P trap or waste trap, as well as the sink strainer. Now, install the mounting assembly that consists of a flange and a mounting ring. Tighten the assembly, and then connect the power cord. Mount the garbage disposal, and connect the drain lines. If necessary, connect a dishwasher line too after the drain lines have been established. Lock into place, and check to see if the unit is running properly.
A garbage disposal can offer several years of service with proper maintenance and care. Reduce the need for garbage disposal repairs by following these few simple steps. Never stuff the disposal more than its capacity. Avoid pouring grease, and shoving metal, glass or bones down the unit. While the unit is in motion, pour cold water down the unit -- hot water can melt grease, which can later harden to clog the unit. Never pour drain cleaners or household bleach down the unit, and run water through the unit before and after every use. If you do put something in your unit that doesn't belong there, use a pair of tongs to remove the object, not your hands. To keep foul food smells out the unit, cut up a few pieces of lemon rind and grind them into the unit. To clean your kitchen garbage disposal, run some ice cubes mixed with rock salt for about 5 seconds in your garbage disposer.
For simple garbage disposal repairs, first look for the source of the problem. For instance, if the unit doesn't run, look for the reset button, and press. If this doesn't work, make sure that your unit is receiving power. If your unit runs intermittently, there may be a problem with the garbage disposal switch or stopper. Replace these, and it should fix the garbage disposer. If you notice a garbage disposal leak, locate the source, or simply tighten the connection. If the garbage disposal makes a lot of noise, you may have shoved something that shouldn't have been there. Check for this, and if you don't find anything, get the blade, motor or impeller replaced by a garbage disposal plumber.
To make sure that your garbage disposal unit needs few repairs, never fill the unit above its capacity. Don't pour grease down the unit or shove bones, rubber or other objects that can block the unit. Always run water before and after every use, and run cold water while the unit is in operation. Do not pour household cleaners down the unit. If you have placed something in the garbage disposal like shells, bones or corn husks, pull out with tongs. Don't use your hands to pull the object out. For cleaning your garbage disposal, run a combination of ice cubes and rock salt for 5 seconds through your unit. To deodorize your garbage disposer, grind a lemon through it while you run warm water.
In case of a garbage disposal that is switched on but doesn't run, press the reset button at the bottom of the disposer. Make sure that your unit has been plugged into a functioning power outlet. If you still have problems, the cause may be a defective garbage disposal switch or stopper that has to be replaced. In case of a garbage disposal leak, look for the source, and tighten the loose connection. If your disposal makes a lot of noise, check to see if any hard object has entered the unit. If not, call a garbage disposal plumber to replace the blade and motor. We have established this unique resource to help you find licensed and certified garbage disposal plumbers in Fort Worth.
